A supportive luggage system
Mobiler aims to facilitate, support and help people in their long-distance trips.
This will be achieved through a luggage for people who prefer to push their luggage and utilize every available space for a comfortable journey. The device has a sitting function and plenty of space for feet movement. The device is highly mobile and it provides an attachment system for an additional bag and other items. It has a contrast element visualized in the attachment straps in the middle. They will serve as a recognition element for the users.
Imagine while you are on a move combining the comfort of sitting place, stability and useful item arrangements – Mobiler rewrites the rules of travel, incorporate all element mentioned before and it pushed from behind, therefore it gives you stability and you can use the top as sitting place or you can se Bungee straps put extra luggage on the top. The suitcase could be slided due to a clever wheels used in robotics it has an Additional hand bag which serves as a back rest, two additional removable pockets for long objects such as walking sticks or crutches, strip for additional luggage
Mobiler is like a new trunki for 50+ The luggage producers very often exclude elder traveller from their scope. There is no push-able suitcase on the market in the moment.
Users
The elderly are an increasing group of people who are often neglected in the process of new product design, (Mallenius et al.2007:1). Travel luggage producers follow the assumption that people are able to walk independently. Most luggage designs on the market intentionally or not exclude the elderly people from their scope. Very often brands are scared of making changes in that area.
The improved medical care nowadays allows people to live longer and lead a more active and healthier way of life.( Vaupel, 2010:1) This is felt especially in the western world. In the last 25 years the number of the 65+ year olds has increased with 1.7 million. By 2035, the people at age of 85 and over are expected to be approximately 3.6 millions. (ibid: 2010)
Needs
As people age, they experience a decrease in their ability to navigate successfully in space. Mobility aids such as walking frames and rollers provide the needed assistance with obstacle detection and stability (Kulyukin 2008:1). Four wheels, however, provide more freedom in movement, especially if the device user is able to push it from behind. With the pushing feature we add a combination of stability and more controlled manoeuvring of the suitcase. In the case of arthritis, back or knee problems among elderly travellers the luggage should be lightweight and with easily accessible pockets which to allow seniors to put less pressure on their backs.
Other considerations are: designing an additional bag as a hand luggage which could be used for holding tickets, documents, pills, laptops, tablets, etc.
Trends
The Market
The luggage industry is heavily dependent on the tourism segment which suffered a considerable decrease in 2008 due to the economic crisis. The luggage industry started to grow again in 2010. A projected estimation points out that the market could exceed 50 $ billion by 2018 with the expectancy that the new emerging economies boost the growth. (Global Industry Analysts GIA, Inc 2012)

She uses one modified suitcase which can be pushed and she was asked dozen of times by other travellers on the airport, where can I buy such, it is a great idea
Mobiler solves a problem and there is a need for such product on the market.
